It was the second week ofApril when my dad came home with an exciting news. He told me that he was going to take me to his office. I jumped with glee as he informed me this. The day we had to go, I scurried at my home making sure I had everything.
The sound of clapping echoed through the silvery walls in the Morgan Stanley building. I was sitting on a little neat chair while my little piggy bank was resting on the plastic gray fold up tables. A volunteer was explaining to us what to do with our little piggy banks. She said, ” Now as you all know how the supermarket is like the finance market because they both connect 2 people or places. The supermarket connects the farm which has a lot of food, to people like us that don't have any food Same with the finance market, it connects people with a lot of money to people that don’t have that much money. Now, listen very closely. You are going to paint these wonderful piggies that we can donate to the Morgan Stanley Children's hospital”. “Wonderful idea!”, I thought to myself . I swiftly began to work on my little bank. Clap, clap went the hands of the volunteer. She said, “now we will get a tour to the trading floor”. So we went to the floor and wow, it was big. I even saw people with six monitors. Their eyes were deep buried in the monitors. Wow! I thought, can I be at the same place? After the tour, I went with mydad to his office when we heard about a contest. The contest was about to write or do something about “CIRCUS”. So I got to work. About 15 minutes later I was done. Then the event host walked in and she told me that I had won the second place out of 25 kids. I was so happy! The lady handed me a prize and I went to show my dad.
Finally, I came back home with lot of gifts and wonderful memories from the day.
