“I can’t believe it” I grumbled, why can’t we go see the fall colors like all my friends are, I am in 5th GRADE! People will think my family is too poor, or something. Dad put down his newspaper and said “well why don’t you tell them, I’m sorry sweetie, and we can’t afford any expenses ever since I lost my job, and if you want to go, we will go next week only if you pay for half of the expanses! “This is so unfair” I groaned and ran to the backyard. I sat in my favorite corner and started grumbling to myself about how unfair my life was. Then suddenly a golden leaf fell and landed right in front of me. After that one maroon and one orange landed on my head. After that I got an idea for earning money.

“3 bucks a leaf, two for five” I called on our street. People whizzed by me and gave me strange looks. One kid even called me weirdo, but I didn’t care, because I knew my business will rock. Just then my bratty sister Brittany came up and snapped me loudly “what do you think you are doing?” “Selling designer leafs” I said smiling. “Yeah well newsflash “nobody like leafs cut up into shapes like a 1st grader duh stupid… why don’t you do something like oh I don’t know, put a bib on or a pacifier to show that you are a baby on the outside like on the inside.” She smirked. Next to me a boy who was walking muttered under his breath and said “you just got sassed” I glared at my sister while she was walking away laughing. When I am usually mad, I get my best ideas, so the ideas were flowing, but I decided to use the latest one.

I traced each leaf, added paint, little sparkle, and cut it out. Everybody loved my idea. Now when my bratty sister came walking around she had a snarl on her face. Me? I just smiled, and went to my customers.
