As someone who hates gloomy days because I do not think they are bright and happy enough, I sure do hate neon. I hate the fact that it is so up in your face, and when someone is talking to you, they only stare at the explosion of color radiating from your body. Call me boring, but I love my neutrals. I live by the fact you can never go wrong with wearing white, black, or grey, and my closet proudly displays that. Something you can go wrong with though is neon. Neon reminds me of a middle schooler who is experimenting with her colors, and decides to mix a bunch in together and proudly boasts about it. I was that middle schooler. I do not wish to be that middle schooler anymore. I just feel as if the pop of color, is very hard to match with the right accessories and the right articles of clothing, that most of the time it is a miss. Of course, if you are someone who is into neon and lives and breaths color - this trend is perfect for you. But for me when it comes to fashion, I love dependency. I love that if I pair my favorite black shirt with any colored bottoms, it will look good. I love that if I wear grey on grey - I will not look like an exploded Crayola marker factory. Personally for me, I am not into this color trend and will gladly wait for it to be over so I can go back to seeing my beloved neutrals everywhere.
